The shutter speed determines how
long the shutter is open, which lets light through
the camera to expose the film. Shutter speed is affected
by two variables: aperture and film speed(ASA). When
the aperture is adjusted the amount of light passing
through the lens changes. The more light the faster
the shutter speed needed. The ASA is the speed of
the film, a film with a high ASA will expose quickly
and a film with a low ASA will expose slower. With
all this data in your camera or by using a meter you
can get the correct exposure on your pictures.
