Sometimes you just lose your inspiration.
Photography can become boring if you have no good
ideas. Don't forget to make sure your pictures have
a lot of impact by using the Rule of Thirds and Depth
of field. Here are some other interesting ideas:
Slow shutter speed
Turn your shutter speed right down to 1 second,
or even better, manual, which usually means you
hold down the shutter button for as long as you
want the shutter to stay open. This can be used
very effectively. Try taking abstract pictures at
nigh of streetlights, cars and neon signs. Sometimes
shaking the camera can produce some very interesting
effects. You could also put your camera on a tripod
or make sure it is very still and point it towards
the road at night, if done properly you will produce
a very nice streak like effect.
Look closer
Taking regular pictures all the time are a real
bore. So why not get close, you will need a macro
lens of some sort or a camera that can focus pretty
close. Get so close that you can't actually tell
what the object you are photographing. Patterns
work especially well. You can also take pictures
of small things like bugs, flies and lego people.
